This will be an interim position paying £316.50 P/Day Umbrella on a 6-9 Month contract.

Job Purpose:

• Conducting safety inspections on void council properties
• Reviewing plans and visiting sites before and during void works
• Carrying out thorough property inspections once works are complete

MMP Consultancy currently have an opportunity for a Fire Safety Assurance Officer to join a Housing Association based in Croydon.

This will be a permanent position paying £45,000-£50,000 P/A Plus Benefits

Job Purpose:

• Acting as fire safety expert and subject matter expert to delivery fire safety assurance, fire safety advice, fire guidance and support to ensure duty holder compliance with standards. Working as part of the First Safety team, delivering through quality assurance reviews for Fire Safety to provide assurance to the business of practice acting as the second line of defence in the organisation. Responsible for working proactively to deliver accurate workable advice and guidance for assurance of practice and standards for statutory compliance.
• Through technical expertise and experience supporting duty holders through coaching, support, and intervention the integrity of my clients Fire Safety practices and assisting in the implementation and adherence to my clients Fire Safety Strategy, policies, and procedures, as well as Fire Safety Risk Management Frameworks.
• Responsible for understanding, reviewing, interpreting guidance and legislation across a broad range of occupancies and tenures, ranging from new build properties to the standards applicable for existing general needs and 'specialised' housing properties.
• Responsible for delivery quality assurance through audit, review, inspection, coaching and evaluation of results to advise duty holders on actions and support strategy and actions development.

Role Responsibilities:

• Ensure through technical expertise and experience the integrity and performance of safety and fulfilment of duty of principal risk/stakeholders.
• Deliver advice and guidance to ensure my clients to meet its legal, moral and financial duties to both employees and Residents in terms of Fire Safety matters and fire risk reduction.
• Responsible for the ensuring the measuring and evaluation of adherence by duty holders to the Fire Safety Framework Components and organisation compliance and developing actions for duty holders. Building relationships and communication channels to effectively ensure "Duty Holder / Accountable Person" prescribed in law maintain compliance against all statutory requirements to protect my clients and its residents.
• Liaison with Enforcers to deliver the best outcomes for my clients in potential enforcement actions post inspection, fire investigation or audit.
• Acting as Witness and provide evidence as required to verify or justify my clients' actions in Crown, Magistrates or Coroners Court in relation to my clients' actions or mitigation.
• Responsible for programs of inspection delivery and undertaking routine monitoring and review of existing my clients' systems for Fire Safety of Residents and all other Relevant Persons.
• Undertaking Qualitative and Quantitative Audits and evaluations of Fire Risk in Property, Housing and Business areas to ensure conformance and compliance and standards of performance.
• Develop and liaise with Senior Duty Holders proportionate consistent fire risk reduction strategies. (Head of Building Safety, Fire Program Managers etc) to ensure fulfilment of first line duty holders and implementation of appropriate actions to mitigate fire risk in my clients' properties.
• Delivery of support and advice in safe occupation and management of complex fire management by design or construction buildings or complex occupation and management arrangements or situations requiring additional knowledge, experience, and skills to assure and verify practices.
• Through tours, inspections, working group attendance independently challenge unsuitable or unsafe systems identified. Liaise directly with duty holders ensuring appropriate resolution or escalation to the Head of Fire Safety if the risks are to wider business or reputation.
• Act as an expert and support to Building Safety and Fire Risk Teams with advice, guidance to enable them to achieve satisfactory resolutions to building fire issues. Deliver the physical audits and proactive monitoring of Fire Safety in Asset, Repairs, Housing and Operational teams.
• Supporting the Fire Safety team in delivery of Fire Strategy and practices to ensure Duty Holders:
  • Undertake statutory compliance with future legislation and practice.
  • Inform Duty Holders of changes and monitor to ensure completion and fulfilment.

• Assurance, Quality of FRA for 'in scope' buildings including HRB's.
• Assurance of Contractor competency / accreditation on Fire Safety Projects carried out in our buildings.
• Quality Assurance of works completed for Fire Standards and suitability.
• Assurance of routine inspection regimes and works completion.

Job Purpose:

• To deliver building and construction projects that meet the needs and expectations of my clients' customers and stakeholders.

Role Responsibilities:

• The Projects Manager is responsible for planning, managing, and delivering a range of complex building and construction projects and programmes in collaboration with the Property Services Team. The role covers all aspects of project and programme management, from concept design and feasibility studies to procurement and contract administration, to quality assurance and handover.
• Specification writing and procurement lead for all projects and programmes in scope.
• Project management of internal and external resources, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
• Ensuring Section 20 process are followed were relevant.

This will be a interim position on a 6-9 Month contract paying £50.32 P/H Umbrella.

Job Purpose:

The purpose of the role is to manage clients' applications for Disabled Facilities Grants, loans and repair grants, including designing and organising schemes ensuring the property meets the needs of individuals and the Decent Homes Standard.

Role Responsibilities:

• Understand, uphold, and promote the aims of the council's equality, diversity, and inclusion policies; health, safety, and wellbeing of self and other; and Organisational values in everything you do. • Arrange and undertake site visits, meeting with applicants, occupational therapists (OT's), architects and contractors to determine eligibility for financial assistance.
